Cincin kuno yang hilang selama berabad-abad telah ditemukan, dan melalui nasib yang aneh telah diberikan kepada Hobbit kecil bernama Frodo. Ketika Gandalf menemukan Cincin sebenarnya adalah Satu Cincin dari Tuan Kegelapan Sauron, Frodo harus melakukan pencarian epik ke Cracks of Doom untuk menghancurkannya. Namun, dia tidak pergi sendiri. Dia bergabung dengan Gandalf, Legolas elf, Gimli si Kurcaci, Aragorn, Boromir, dan tiga teman Hobbit-nya Merry, Pippin, dan Samwise. Melalui gunung, salju, kegelapan, hutan, sungai, dan dataran, menghadapi kejahatan dan bahaya di setiap sudut, Fellowship of the Ring harus pergi.
